Garrett Coakley 12 minutes of sheer bliss. Favorite track: Electric.
N B (MC URINATE) thumbnail
N B (MC URINATE) A bold and audacious step forward for this Chilean kraut trio. Simpler in sonic elements yet more sprawling in delivery. peepee Favorite track: Electric.

babelgrim Can't recall how I stumbled across this band. So glad I did, earlier stuff is great and this release is more than worthwhile and a step up. Think a lo-fi LCD Soundsystem layered onto bare-bones Sonic Youth and you're maybe at least in the same sonic continent. Immersive and (literally) groovy. Favorite track: Feuerzeug.
John Cratchley

John Cratchley I think this is a watershed album...a band moving from emulation to takes Follakzoid onto a whole different plain: urgent, insistent demanding to be heard with a truly arresting vibe and a pulse that is infectious. I've really liked their other work but the added layer of glitchy edginess makes this album something more accomplished...a classic in the making?

Bart Furp A new direction for FZ, plenty of echo and added electronics. Really starts coming together on side 2. Favorite track: Piure.

For III, the band wanted to expand their sound while building an atmosphere with mainly monochords and reiteration. After recording and mixing the album on their own at their studio at BYM Records, they partnered with German electronic maestro Atom TM to flesh out the album’s synth parts. Most of the sounds he provided were atonal electronic sounds, aiming for concrete frequencies and sampled organic glitches. (The Korg synthesizer Atom TM plays on this record was used by Kraftwerk on tour in the '80s.)

III is a four-part minimal sound voyage in which you can hear Föllakzoid’s musical language developing into something more upbeat, obscure, and sharp, yet even simpler in terms of elements.
